It's not an Akatsuki member, I know that much. It doesn't even look human. Yet when you search "Akatsuki" on ebay, you'll find loads of these plushies. Is this some kind of joke?

Could it be... Hidan!? Before you say anything, check out this video.

At 00:19 seconds, there is a picture of all the Akatsuki, in different squares. The spellings of their names are pretty screwed up and everything, but look at the bottom row. Hidan!? HIDAN!?

Please, will someone tell me what's going on?

okay. i'll do some stuff, too... because that thing is utterly DISTURBING! and i agree. it can't POSSIBLY be a filler, that would just be too discracefull! *puts hand to forehead* but like you two, i'll do my best to figure out what the hell that... creature is.

It might be some sort if OC... maybe? That headband looks like something I've seen before. Hm. Was it those guys who kidnapped Gaara? Or the snow ninja?! MAYBE IT'S A SNOW HEADBAND!

It certainly seems like an OC. It's got that whole, "I-was-created-by-some-psycho-fangirl" thing around it like an aura of death and pain. My theory for now is that it's from some famous fanfic that someone wrote and a lot of other people liked, and one of dem crazy fans made a plushie of... the main character? *confused* Ah, I dunno.

In the end, I think it's some sort of Kabuto hybrid. It's got something to do with Kabuto. SOMETHING!

We're on to something. In fact, I forgot to say I went on CAPSLOCK_NARUTO and they were discussing that thing there, and they had no clue what it was, too. They were preiously going on about that horrid Kisame plushie with BLACK HAIR and TAN SKIN, and someone brought up that foreign Kabu-hybrind snow thing. I commented about it, and they told me they didn't know who it was.

Gah, as far as I know, I've never seen it in Shippuden. If it's a filler, that thing has no **** right to be part of the Akatsuki.

First, let me start by saying that this thing's identity has been questioned many times by other people. The livejournal community chuunin has named it Kawaii no Baka-chan (The Youkai-Sama) and adapted it as their unofficial mascot:
