I believe all are permitted to have their opinion on art, if it is truly art. I feel artistic opinions can only apply to art, not reckless explosions.

I'm not saying they're at all similar. I'm just saying that you saying his expolisions aren't art is exactly like him saying your puppets aren't art. What is or isn't art is completely a matter of opinion.
