| Hello! This is for some Kisame discussion, OBVIOUSLY. Back to the debate: IS KISAME WARM-BLOODED OR COLD-BLOODED? IS HE MORE SHARK THAN MAN? OR MORE MAN THAN SHARK? Here's the beginning: | Spoiler: | | | Kisame-san but we don't know if Kisame is actually a fish/shark, or if he just has fishy/sharky qualities. and if it is the fishy/sharky qualities, then we don't know which ones he has other than his appearance! so we have no way of knowing whether Kisame is, in fact, cold blooded. hmm...I wonder if Kisame has cartiridge instead of bones....
anikoku Besides, we don't even know if sharks are cold blooded!
Most sharks are cold blooded, but some such as the great white shark, are able to raise and lower their body temperature, so may therefore considered to be warm blooded.
I wish Kisame will be featured in a proper battle; maybe then we'd know. But my theory is that he's warm-blooded.
Kisame-san really? That's interesting.... although, I'd like to point out, that we don't know what kind shark he is anyway...
Me to! Then only fight that he actually did was the one with Gai!
Fai_re I bet his appearance is just sharkey... but then again, it seems he has gills, and I don't think his body could possibly jsut be held up by cartilage alone, considering how heavy he must be and how he's constantly fighting. If it was, he'd probably collapse. Cartilage is strong, but not as strong as bone. |
(This isn't in the WARM-BLOODED OR COLD-BLOODED section just because I felt like putting it here!)
As I said, I believe that his appearance and the fact that he can breathe underwater are the only shark-like things about him. I'm guessing that the rest of him is cold-blooded. Although, I wonder if to have the system that takes in water instead of air you need to be cold-blooded? Probably not, cause fish live in water, and Kisame doesn't, and I think that he'd be rather unique.
(OH AND LOOK, I FIXED IT anikoku! HOW'S THIS!!!!!??????)

| Yeah, that's what I think to. I don't think that the gills actually work though, becuase otherwise he wouldn't be able to breathe without being underwater, and he's not underwater...or maybe they work if he is underwater, but when he's not, he just breathes like a normal person! hmm... good point, Fai_re _________________ ~Kisame-san ~Quote Collector

| Hey, look what I found on http://anime.myfavoritegames.com/anime-manga/naruto-village/87616-kisame-s-samehada.html| Spoiler: | | | | Quote: | (Mythology of Japan) Three Tails (Sanbi), Isonade Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts Isonade is a shark shaped Bijuu with a sharp horn on the forehead. It lives in the deep waters on the West of Japan, fighting pirates. Every few months, Isonade will swim to the surface of the sea from the deep waters, to breath some fresh air. However, when he does this, storms erupt, oceans rage, and all ships will be swallowed by him as food. Isonade has a subordinate fish called Samehada (?) (Same name as Kisame's Sword. Depicted differently, but with same pronunciation), Samehada attaches itself to Isonade’s stomach, and absorbs its food to create huge amounts of chakra, proceeding to send it back to its body. Samehada’s power can enable Isonade to get 5 times the quantity of chakra it could originally get. Therefore, when Isonade battles, he will have unlimited chakra to receive from Samehada Situation in the Ancient War of the 9 Gods: Battled 4 times; 2 Wins, 1 Loss, 1 Flee Wins: Kaku, Shukaku Losses: Nekomata Escapes: Yamata no Orochi Fate: A fisherman and brave warrior from Yokohama, called Takuma Muramasa, sacrifices himself in behalf of two villages in a courageous act, getting near Isonade and sealing his personal servant Samehada in the “Tool of Power: Pot of the Shark-named fish” from seal in the Water Shrine. Isonade then becomes unable to draw the massive chakra, and ends up getting exhausted and sucked by the Tool’s seal in the Water Shrine as well. Japanese Myth Appearance: A big shark/fish (?) with 3 tails and 3 fins. Has a dark blue body color, is attracted by blood (like all sharks); has a personal servant, a small fish named Samehada, as shown above, that is responsible to help Isonade absorb and digest Chakra in 5 times his original capacity. Ability: Generic water powers can control the currents of water. Bijuu Strength Ranking: 6th Bijuu Chakra/Stamina Ranking: 7th Symbolic Element: Water (God of Water) Origin / Discovered in Four Nanju Country Islands - Yawagawa Sea Area (*COUGH*Nanju is Kisame's Akatsuki Rank*COUGH*) |

could this be where Kishimoto-sensei got the idea for Kisame-san?

| Wow; how interesting... Thanks for finding that! That MUST be where Kishi got Kisame from because many of his ideas link directly to mythology. I'm gonna go do more research on that. |

| OH GOSH YES. Kishimoto LOVES mythology. The Bijuu, Orochimaru, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Tsukiyomi, Amaterasu, Susano-o, Kusanagi... I could go ON AND ON!! That's really awesome. Kisame-san, you've really been on a roll recently, haven't you? Gosh, Kishimoto really should explain Kisame. Of course, I doubt he even thinks about the scientific aspects of any of that stuff, like the byakugan and Zetsu and Kisame, and everything else! I think he just DOES these things and doesn't plan on being able to explain them, or having them be possible in our world. _________________ "Mafia guys always score." KILL IT WITH FIRE! | Your welcome!! XD Ugh, maybe. Sometimes authors do that, you know? they make awsomecharecters and then they don't explain their past, their powers, anything! D: _________________ ~Kisame-san ~Quote Collector

| You read my mind. (LOL I DIDN'T ACTUALLY SAY THANK YOU! *punches self*) Well, the only person I've really seen doing that is Kishimoto... Of course, lots of other manga-ka do that, but they usually end up explaining at some point. *sigh* I just wish someone would tell us more about Kisame. I'd say that our best bet would be to send vibes to Suigetsu to spurt out some info. (OH AND DID I MENTION THAT BYAKUGAN AND SHARINGAN ARE ACTUALLY POSSIBLE? But not REALLY.) _________________ "Mafia guys always score." KILL IT WITH FIRE! Got it memorized?

| YEAH. If we don't WE GO AND KIDNAP KISHIMOTO, OK?! INDEEDY-DOO. You know, one of my favorite parts of Naruto is when Gai and Kisame are (indirectly) fighting, and Gai can't remember FOR THE LIFE OF HIM who the hell Kisame is and why he recognizes him. It's just funny to hear him keep saying, "OH! You're... I still don't remember." In the middle of the bloody fight. And isn't Kisame the type of person you don't just FORGET?! Maybe Gai has memory problems... (LIKE SOMEONE ELSE I KNOW *COUGH COUGH*) _________________ "Mafia guys always score." KILL IT WITH FIRE! Got it memorized?
