Well, maybe not. The real reason why they probably made it "Pain" is cause he's supposed to be named that for the pain he's felt, amirite? If you said "pain" and pronounced it as if it were a Japanese word, it would sound pretty different. Now, if you said "pein" and pronounced it as a Japanese word, it sounds more like the English "pain," right? That's probably why is it what it is in Japanese, and why they switched it to Pain in English... LOL, THAT WHOLE THING DIDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE, DID IT?

So, has anyone bothered to watch any of the anime? Like, REALLY watch it? I know that you've seen at least the first episode, anikoku, because I watched it with you at Haruka and Natsume's house. ()

I feel as though people don't really comment on the art in Death Note enough. The style is... pretty spiffy. It's very intricate, and from what I gather, it's like Yozakura Quartet and D.Gray-Man's styles because after you look at it for a while, you just feel the urge to DRAW it!!

Well, all the joking aside, Death Note is quite a story. Really gets into the mind. Like you said, the artwork is also something.
